I’m a Fisherman at Heart

Over 30 years ago, I came to Zihuatanejo on a fishing trip—and never looked back. I fell in love with the coastline, the stillness, the soul of the place.

That first trip changed everything. I returned not just to relax, but to create. I met architect Enrique Zozaya, and together we began what would become a years-long design journey: to build a private estate that reflected the land’s natural beauty and spirit.

What followed was both obsessive and inspired. Some details were drawn on the backs of napkins. Others were reworked over and over again until they felt just right. From dynamiting the hillside to reclaiming ancient stone, from forging wooden doors by hand to sourcing a Spanish castle door as a dining table, every inch of the villas was intentionally crafted.

These aren’t just homes.
They are living works of art, built from memory, instinct, and heart.

It started with Villa Bahia, a cliffside sanctuary with panoramic views and timeless design. Then came Villa Encantada, a bold and romantic counterpart that took more than two years to complete. Together, they form a private oceanfront estate—available to rent individually or together. Book one villa, and it’s fully yours. No shared spaces, no strangers. In 1999, renting out luxury villas with full-time staff wasn’t common—but I believed in something different. I wanted to share this place, this experience. The breeze through the palms. The hush of the waves at night. The light on the water at golden hour.

But I also knew that rest requires care—so I built a hospitality team to deliver it.

Our team has been with us for over a decade. They manage daily housekeeping, light meal prep, towel refreshes, and more. Their service is warm, discreet, and deeply thoughtful—creating the kind of full-service villa rental experience that’s both rare and unforgettable.
