We rented Villa Encantada to celebrate a major anniversary with our grown children, their spouses, and our grandchildren. Because we had the extra room in the house, we also included our nephew and his fiance. The house was fabulous. Of course, the kids spent most of the time in the pool! The separate bedrooms and bathrooms really let everyone have their own space. However, no matter how great the house was, the key point that made our trip awesome was the staff. From meeting each group at the airport to helping us decide on meals to making trip arrangements – everything was flawless. On top of that, the meals were all delicious. All meals were prepared fresh, and since they did the grocery shopping, we could just sit back and enjoy the family. The only negative – which by no means changed our opinion overall – the website talks about a beach club with kayaks to use. The beach area is actually a pretty good walk away, and it is rocky to get into the water from here. There were no kayaks available for our use and we spent very little time there. Instead, the house manager made arrangements for us to spend the day on various beaches. Also, it notes a nearby tennis court – there was not a court we could use during our visit. All in all a once in a lifetime experience – lovely house, fabulous in country staff and delicious meals. We travel a lot and this is a real gem! ~Paula C
